The Locker reads everything the system knows — readiness, load, film, fixtures — and leads with the one action that matters today. Evidence first, always.
MIDO points at the film, tells you how sure it is and why, and waits for you to agree before anything enters your record. An opinion you can’t check is worth nothing — so it shows you the moments and lets you argue.
Your back foot is square as the ball arrives, so the first touch goes back towards your own goal instead of away from pressure.
MIDO went on your kit and position — it cannot read numbers in this footage, so it says this is a judgement rather than pretending it is a fact.
In the product these jump straight to the second they name. An observation you can’t go and look at is an opinion.
Does this belong in your record? Nothing is written until you say so — MIDO proposes, you confirm.
You were there and MIDO wasn’t. This is the step where a judgement becomes something you own, or gets thrown away.
Now it’s in your record, with the three moments attached as evidence.
The session keeps its reason. Three days later you still know why you’re doing it.
An example, to show the shape. The football is real — “Receiving on the half-turn” is a concept in MIDO’s library and that drill is one of the ways it trains, and Inferred is the label the product genuinely puts on a read about you. The match is not real: these are not one player’s numbers.
You cannot read a squad number from the touchline. So when MIDO reads your game it is going on your kit and where you play, and it labels that honestly — inferred, not observed. Every reading says which it is, and that is the whole reason the confident ones mean anything.
Where most reads about you land. The film supports it and MIDO can point at the moment — but it is working from your kit and position, so it calls this a judgement.
Kept for what the film settles outright — the shape of a passage, where the press broke. MIDO does not use it for claims about you.
The film does not settle it. Often MIDO cannot tell which player is you, and says so instead of guessing.
Tell MIDO your kit colour and it knows who to follow. Without it, a read is about the game rather than about you — and MIDO will say so on the page rather than quietly writing about a stranger.
Your football doesn’t end at the final whistle. MIDO links what happened in a match to the film that explains it, the priority it becomes, and the session built to fix it — then back to the next match, where it checks whether the work held.
Most football careers are remembered in fragments. MIDO XI keeps every match, every clip, every lesson and every session connected — so nothing you learn is ever lost.

Not four apps, and not one app with a settings toggle. The navigation, the language, the first screen and what MIDO is willing to say all change with the role — over one shared football intelligence engine. Switch role and the whole system follows you.
My football development.
“What should I do next to become a better player?”
Your tactical analyst and assistant coach.
“How can I understand my team, opposition, tactics and players better?”
Develop my players.
“Who needs my attention, and what does each player need from me?”
The intelligence layer across your organization.
“How can we connect development, performance, coaching and football intelligence across the club?”
Your matches, notes, readiness, film and feedback are yours. A trainer sees only what you chose to share when you connected, you can change or end that at any time, and the database enforces it rather than the interface. Export or delete everything whenever you like.
MIDO has no camera system and no data feed, so it does not report distances, sprint counts or expected goals — and it says so rather than estimating them. What it holds is what you and your coach record, plus a curated football library where facts and interpretation are labelled separately.

Most "let's watch some clips together" calls are a video window and two people talking past each other. Here's the version that actually produces something.

Most recovery screens show HRV, resting heart rate and a readiness score whether or not anything measured them. Ours doesn't. Here's why that was a deliberate rebuild, not an oversight.

A match without film is an opinion. Film without study is entertainment. Study without training is a diary. The loop only works if every stage feeds the next one.
ReadFree is the whole deterministic product, permanently, with no AI in it. The paid tier is the intelligence layer on top.

A private football intelligence environment. One system for matches, film, training, development and study, linked together in a single loop — rather than a match app, a video app and a training log that don't talk to each other.
No. Recovery is self-reported by default — four scores you enter yourself. Connect a WHOOP strap and real HRV, resting heart rate and sleep data appear alongside it, clearly separated from what you typed in. Nothing is estimated to fill the gap if you don't.
Yes, and it is permanent. Free gives you one experience — Player or Trainer — with the whole deterministic product in it: matches, training, development, study and your record. What it does not include is the AI layer. MIDO XI is $29/month, or $279/year, and adds the AI that reads your film and builds the work from it. It starts with 7 days free and needs a card. Organisations that want the work done for them are quoted separately.
Only what it can see. MIDO reads the film you give it and points at moments it can support, with its confidence shown rather than hidden. Where it cannot tell, it says so instead of guessing. Nothing is estimated to fill a gap, on the pitch or in your recovery scores.
That's most of the point. A trainer connects to a player once, with the player deciding what is shared. From there the trainer sees a development snapshot, assigns work, and records observations — and those observations reach MIDO on the player's side, weighed alongside match and film evidence rather than taken as gospel. MIDO does not replace your trainer; it keeps continuity between you.
Nothing is deleted for lapsing on a plan. You drop back to the free tier's access; your matches, film, notes and history stay exactly where they were.
By default, yes — visible only to you and any trainer you've explicitly connected with. Sharing to the community feed is opt-in per post, never automatic.
